School of Now allows students to sign up for subjects that may not be offered at their home school, including a range of extension courses and specialised electives.

Most subjects are Category A Board Developed courses and all subjects can be included in the ATAR calculation.

Once enrolled, students are allocated an Expert Teacher to support them in undertaking a School of Now course which is delivered in a blended learning format using both technology (Zoom and Canvas) and face-to-face classes each term.

Online lessons are delivered at fixed times each week with learning activities in between sessions and ongoing feedback and support from the Expert Teachers.

To further support the students’ learning endeavours, a Mentor Teacher will be allocated at each student Home School as a point of contact for pastoral support.

This blended learning model differs from traditional forms of distance education as the students have regular contact with their teachers that enables them to build working relationships needed for educational success.
